Balenciaga
It was kind of rebel on the streets. Adrogynous. Inspiration definetely came the streets. The short choppy hair, the combat boots, the leather jackets. Not really what I exected from Balenciaga, but for some reason, it worked. It wasnt my style, but it kinda was.
The One and Only Zac
Zac Posen always does his own thing. He never really makes trends or fits into the current trend. He just makes beautiful, elegant clothing. And that is something so great about his collection, anything you buy from his collections last forever and never really go out of style. This rang true for his latest collection. Some truly pieces.
Ready for Combat
I thought the trend would surely go away by now, but suprisignly its managed to stay, and become even more popular. Luckily I still have my favorite combat boots, but here are some other styles.

Bright Colors for Spring
According to Feels like White Lightning, bright colors are the hottest trend for spring, other than white minimalism of course. Seen on the runways of Chris Benz, Proenza Schouler, Jil Sander, Christopher Kane, Meadham Kirchoff, Prada, Versus, AND more, this trend is surprisingly overwhelming. But don’t worry, you don’t have to fully embrace the trend. The minimalist aesthetic...

Black on the Streets
I would love to wear this outfit every single day. The big sweater, the pleated skirt, tights, and the big tote bag are all things that I plan on wearing all season long.
Michael Kors
This is the perfect carry-all tote bag for all my needs. It can be for school, for shopping, for absolutely anything. And it comes in wonderful colors. If only it wasn’t way out of my price range.
It's a Wrap
I want to start wearing headbands/knotted scarves like this.

This Season's Boots
For Fall, grab a pair of chic riding boots to pair over your jeans and tights. I have been wanting this style of boots for years, but never found the perfect one. But now there are too many options to choose from!

The Comfort Appeal
Along with the minimalist vibe comes slouchy, comfortable clothing. If people are going to spend so much money on designer-wear in such hard economic times, it better be either extraordinarily beautiful, or plain old comfortable and long-lasting. Designers are deciding to go with the latter.

Take It Easy
I’m a little overloaded with stress right now – studying for my first AP Art History test. Don’t expect too many posts from me for the next few days. But…blogging is my favorite way to procrastinate, so you will see some posts!
MaxMara
Sleek. Sharp. Clean. Crisp. All word to describe MaxMara’s collection. The collection encompassed everything that this season is about: a return to minimalism. However, unlike every other collection, they ventured away from solely white, and added some beautiful, citrus colors. The clothing was all about sharp lines. Clothes that fitted the body, but weren’t tight. Nothing too short,...
The Season of Blonde Models
Abbey Lee Kershaw knew what she was doing when she dyed her beautiful brown tresses platinum blonde. The majority of models strutting down the runways this season are blonde. Not dirty blonde, or yellow blonde, but platinum blonde. Bright, bold blonde.

The Magnificent Anna Dello Russo
As the editor of Vogue Japan, it is no wonder that this native Italian women has the best clothes around. Always dressed in right-off-the-runway creations, she is one of fashion’s biggest risk-takers. The fashion blogs always capture her strutting down the street, usually on the phone. She is not only an inspiration for her boldness in fashion, but also she proves that style doesn’t...

Backyard Bill
Backyard Bill is a blog that captures average people in average places, but with an artistic eye. It’s a lot like a street-style blog, but it is way better. Much more visually pleasing. The focus isn’t on the clothes, but on the people and on their background. It’s just people in the place where they feel most comfortable. And whoever the photographer is, has a truly excellent...
Lady in Light Blue
This coat is stunning. Elegant and classy, but the color makes it fun too. Perfect for easing her way out of summer and into fall.
Topshop Shift Dress
This is one of my absolute favorite silhouettes for dresses. It is simple and flattering. Perfect with flats for a more casual event, but can look so elegant with heels and pearls. I love the pale pink color the best, but a little black dress is always a must in every girl’s closet, and red is a very classy choice.

Erdem Shoes
I posted a picture of these shoes yesterday, not really paying much attention to them. But then I saw the runway show. And these shoes are so gorgeous. Great idea of Erdem to join forces with Nicholas Kirkwood.
Alberta Ferretti
So man different things came into my mind when I saw this collection: nomadic, freelance artist, hippie, bohemian. All words that associate with a style that is not really mine. Yet, I was drawn to the natural, beautiful comfort of these outfits. The long skirts and long-sleeve shirts. I wish that I was taller so that I could wear these.
Just Some Fashion Week Favorites (So Far)
I’ve only had time to look at a handful of the collections since I’m too busy with schoolwork. But of the ones I saw, here’s a few of my favorite individual looks.
Antonio Berardi: Military looks were huge last season, but this season, not so much. However, I couldn’t help but love the toned down military jacket paired over the most delicate, feminine dress. I’m...

Burberry Does Biker Chic
Slightly hard to tell in the above picture, but Burberry sent some incredible leather jackets down the runway for Spring/Summer 2011. All either cream or black, except for the one animal-skin one, they could have just been any plain leather jacket. But Burberry is known for their outerwear, so of course there was more to the jackets. Some were studded, most were cropped, and some were even...

Christopher Kane
It’s so refreshing to see a collection that is so radically different from the rest of the season’s designs. Christopher Kane, known for being quite the wonderful designer, sent out a beautiful collections. The main thing that caught my attention was the absolutely beautiful array of colors he chose. The pink was a more muted, delicate version of bubble-gum pink. The orange a...
The Imperfect Gap
Every few seasons, imperfections are in. This season, that imperfection comes in the form of gap-toothed grins. When designers were booking models, they were looking out for girls with gapped teeth. It’s weird how a beauty look like that can be in style for models and on the runway, but in real life, most people don’t find gap-toothed people to be very beautiful.
Fluttering Layers
Obsessed with this mix of the delicately cut layers and the traffic-stopping color.
Rodarte Goes Wearable?
Not sure I ever thought this would happen, but Rodarte’s collection was actually wearable. Wearable is not a word I would ever associate with the brand in the past. But after this collection, it most certainly is. Sadly, I didn’t like the collection too much. Part of the reason I love the brand is for its hand-made, hand-dyed, textured, ripped, deconstructed, and then reconstructed...
Karolina Kurkova
I love the design and shape of this outfit. Each piece is a statement in its self, yet she pairs them together in a way that somehow works. The sweater is my absolute favorite part, its a lot like the Alexander Wang sweater I’m currently obsessed with. I don’t actually like the skirt much, but I love the way she pulls it off. And the shoes, of course, I love.
Wrap, then Tie
Mixed Metals
I love the mix of metals, chain, and rhinestones against the school-boy blazer.
J.Mendel
J.Mendel staged an absolutely beautiful show. Ballerina-inspired, each piece was so beyond whimsical and fairy-like. It was just too good. I guess his position as costume designer for the New York City Ballet this summer couldn’t help but inspire him. The chiffon draped beautifully over the body in gorgeous shades of blush, peach, cream, and an icy grey. Orange louboutins, with a ribbon...

The Perfect Sack
This Michael Kors totebag would be perfect for school. Large enough to carry all of my heavy books in, but still stylish enough to love.

Twenty8Twelve
I was disappointed. Sienna Miller is by far one of the best-dressed celebrities. She never leaves her house without a lustworthy outfit. I have always been infinetely jealous of her wardrobe and ability to create outfits. But, I just saw the Twenty8Twelve runway collection for Spring/Summer 2011, and it was such a bore. It was casual, boring clothing. The accessories were just eh. The clothing...

Lustworthy
No particular reason whyevery single one of these is black, I guess that’s the color I want to wear this season.
This morning, I tried to pull on a pair of loose, baggy flowered shorts. I bought them over a month ago, but I never wore them yet. It was such a hard piece to find an outfit with, even though I could’ve very well worn them wtih a plain black tee. But the problem is that they tend to look like boxers…even with the flowered print. Clearly I don’t want to look like I walked out...

Street Walkers
Fashion week is the best time of the year for style blogs and street fashion. The most beautiful people come out to watch the shows in the most incredible clothing. Sometimes its the models, sometimes its the editors, sometimes its celebrities…but no matter who it is, they always seem to be extremely well-dressed.
