some beautiful furry shag sweaters appeared on the runway. they were so textured. i cannot wait to find one of these to wear for fall. they all appeared in gorgeous neutral colors, but if they are paired with bright accents (like belts and necklaces) like at Oscar de La Renta, it can really be a beautiful outfit.

never run in the rain with you're socks on.
socks with flats has never really been my thing. i prefer tights and flats. or maybe socks peeking out from above my boots. but socks and flats? nope. looking at marc jacob’s new collection, i couldn’t wait to salvage my closet to find a pair of socks to pair with my flats.

Imagine what you want to happen, not what you fear...
the satorialist always knows how to capture the most stylish people on the street. whoever he captured in this photo embodies everything i strive to achieve in fashion. color. contrast. confidence. opposites. the clothes are strong, yet they don’t overpower the girl. she took a strong piece, and made it even stronger. it fits her well. not too big, not too long. just right. it looks so...
question the notion of perfection.
anyone can mix. anyone can match. it takes talent to mix and match. rodarte, one of my favorite designers, has mastered the art of texture. lace. pearls. yarn. chiffon. velvet. plaid. goat hair. the two designers took everything, they took anything. and somehow, somehow made them match. everything was just so pretty, but in that weird way that only rodarte can pull off. the collection started off...
Time for school?

It was almost a little Gossip Girl-ish, but more sophisticated. And French. This is the ideal French wardrobe. All you need to go from school to a party is a mere change of tights. Slip on the bright colored ones for school under that...
say goodbye to the pink sheep of the family.
not many people can take such ordinary fabrics and ideas and turn them into jaw-dropping creations. from diamonds, to witchcraft, to butterflies, nothing ceased to inspire alexander mcqueen. he brought a fresh, new style to the fashion world. designed with a woman’s desires in mind, mcqueen crafted extraordinary clothing. jaws dropped when his designs came down the runway, not only for...
these are a few of my favorite things
So usually the couture collections are my favorite. But this time around, I was quite disappointed. The most memorable thing for me, was the hair at Chanel, and that says a lot. Usually I fall in love with anything made by Karl Lagerfeld. But I just wasn’t feeling anything special this time.
1. No words can describe it. (Chanel)
2. Not a big fan of most of the actual clothing, but I loved the...
