When Great Fashion Minds Collide
Read this article and tell me you are not DYING to be at the Ralph Lauren store on Madison Avenue tomorrow night. It sounds like it’s going to add a whole new dimension to the current fashion world. Alexander McQueen was the first (I believe) to have live-streaming runway shows, and now Ralph Lauren is pushing forward technology and fashion in a whole new direction.

Looking Closely
Such a beautiful photo. Jordan Dunn, who is completely gorgeous, is modeling an outfit by Azzedine Alaia. This photo seems all cute and fun, which is partially what I love. But really stands out to me is the discrete, impeccable detailing that went into this outfit. I believe that fashion is a form of art, and the little folds and turns of the fabric work together to create the overall outfit....

Crisp, Clean, & Classy
As expected, J.Crew’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection stays true to their image. The pieces are no-fuss, but not too basic. They are trendy, but still timeless. The silhouettes are new, but not risky. This brand always knows how to expand and explore what women want while not straying too far from what their audience wants.
In an odd way, this picture sums up my feelings about fall. I’m trying to go for this comfortable look, something I don’t usually aim for. Oversized sweaters and boots. Messy hair. No bright clothing. And just the whole vibe of the images, that I’m clearly having trouble putting into words.

Street Style
Jane Aldridge of Sea of Shoes has one of the blogs I read daily. She not only has the most beautiful hair color, but she has such a quirky, yet beautiful sense of style that is so interesting to see what/how she wears her clothing. Her blog consists of photos of herself in her different ensembles. Her style is very bold and theatrical, two things that I lack.

There’s something so beautiful about their youthful, deep expressions. Although this was from a fashion editorial, the focus in the picture is on the people and not the clothing. It is not really their beauty that makes them really speak to me, but it is something about their expression and the intensity of the girl’s eyes.

Platforms For Spring
After analyzing the shoes that came down most of the Spring/Summer 2011 runways, it has been determined that platform shoes are the shoe to wear. Unlike other shoes, these are a relatively comfortable form of high-heels. The options are limitless with platforms because you can wear wedge-style like Prada (3rd picture) or go for regular heels on a platform at Christopher Kane (2nd picture). Or...
The perfect combo of a little boys sweater and a beautiful, full skirt.
If I ever get taller than my current 5”3, or decide to wear heels to any event other than parties, than I would love to try this look out. But at my current height, the skirt isn’t my most flattering look.
