A Note from the Blogger
Lately I haven’t had much time to post real blog posts, just photos. Originally, I started this blog as a way to talk about my feelings about fashion, style, and the fashion world. But soon enough, I was overwhelmed with schoolwork and life, and blogging became pretty low on my priorities. Instead of abandoning my blog, I simply posted photos without words. But I really didn’t intend...
Five of Hollywood's Best Dressed of 2010
Out of the top 10 best dressed of 2010, I narrowed it down to my personal top five. According to Vogue, Blake Lively is “the Bombshell,” Jessica Biel is the “American Beauty,” Sarah Jessica Parker is the “Haute Bohemian,” Alexa Chung is the “Street Cool,” and Carey Mulligan is the “Free Spirit.” All perfect choices. Except for SJP,...
Holiday Windows
One of my favorite things of the holidays is the window displays in the New York department stores. Check some of them out here.
Eat, Sleep, and Read Fashion
I already have a massive collection of fashion books, expanding into two cabinets now. But I never stop buying the good ones. Right now, I have my eyes set on a few books, mainly fashion photography though (pictured below). Since I have so many already, now I hate spending so much money on just one book. So my fashion-book-buying has been put on hold for a little bit.
Annie Monroe
Annie Monroe, organ player & singer for The Like, is one of the best-dressed ladies right now. Her style is very “Europe during the 60’s”. Vintage clothing in mainly black & white is what she is usually caught wearing. I’m planning on keeping my eye on her for the wonderful outfits she wears. These beautiful photographs are taken by James D. Kelly.
Arnsdorf
I started reading about Arnsdorf’s 2011 collection inspired by the devastating Icelandic volcano earlier this year, Eyjafjallajokul. But although I found the inspiration compelling, the clothes were not to my liking. But I was rifling through their website and I fell in love with their previous collection. It is, to say the least, brilliant. It was very simplistic and feminine, but not...
Pink Rock by Jeffrey Cambell
Jeffrey Campbell makes beautiful platform shoes. Theygive off the vibe of edgy, rebellion. I’m not sure how some people walk in the shoes, since the heels are at least 5 inches. But they are very cool nonetheless. His previous collections have been in blacks, browns, and white mainly. But now he has created a solely pink collection of platforms (and one beautiful pair of flats!). Like his...

Love the detatchable bows on these Fendi heels. The crystalized bow is very fancy while the metal grommets are slightly edgy and funky and the plain one is just very simple and classy.

The Best Off of Kirna Zabete's Website
All equally lustworthy, every single thing off their website is the best of the runway and designer collections. Shopping in the store itself is just an experience worth trying, and its online website doesn’t do it justice at all. But here are some of my favorite things I found.
Eccentric Street Style
With such chilly weather coming in, many fashion-forward dressers are looking for more creative ways to bundle up. That’s when they turn to the cape. The cape is more unique and original than wearing a coat and it can be worn in so many different ways. It can either be worn with just tights and boots (if its long enough) or it can be paired with shorts the same length and a long-sleeve tee...
Pendleton Collaborations
Perfect pieces for all-year round.

Fashion Pages
Somehow I came upon this blog, that really inspired me. I am in art classes and I really enjoy art, and am always looking for creativity, inspiration, and new ideas. These sketches really inspired me to use more creative mediums to work on. The sketching style itself is very loose and simple, but gets across the body perfectly. But I just really find the use of pages from a book as the...

Alexa Chung, Again
I know I’ve already done a couple of posts on her, but Alexa Chung is just too incredible. No matter how many photos I see of her, her outfits just keep getting better and better. Her style is completely unique and original, and even though now it is mainly designer duds, that has not stopped her from expressing that unique style. She knows what she likes, and she wears it well.
These are so absolutely incredible. I would love to own a pair. I like the leather ones above, but the ones below are in such beautiful, original colors.
D&G Spring 2006
One of my favorite D&G ad campaigns. I have always been slightly obsessed with sheer, whimsical clothing, and these ads are beautiful examples of that. Each season, D&G has a new theme and image, which is so exciting to see, and this is one of their less typical ones. They always do “sexy” clothes, but this is sexy in more subtle ways that the tight corsets and leopard skin...
Lanvin x H&M Collaboration
Alber Elbaz didn’t have to search hard, or far, for his inspiration for his Lanvin x H&M collaboration. All he did was go back into his past five years of work and update the classic, beloved looks which has made his brand what it is. Some are almost identical ideas, while others are just the general concept. This isn’t to say that the collection wasn’t excellent, because it...
Burak Uyan
I sported a similar pair of these all around New York this summer, and I still wear them now, even though it’s winter. I would love to own these ones by Burak Uyan. They give outfits a sort-of ethnic, unique vibe. Although they are sandals, because they are more covered up than other pairs, you can probably get away with wearing these in the not-so-cold Fall days.

Bergdorf Goodman's Holiday Windows
There are a few things that really sum up my holiday season for me. One of them has always been the holiday window displays in the department stores like Neimans, Bergdorfs, or Barneys. The designers always manage to make entire fantasy worlds all within a box about 15x8x8. These definitely aren’t the best window displays that I’ve seen, but they’re still fun to look at.
A Fabulous Outing
All of the most fabulously-dressed of the celebrity scene donned their casual party ensembles and headed to Google’s launch party for Boutiques.com. Clearly, the party itself was for a really great advancement in the fashion and technology industry, but all I could notice was the great outfits from the likes of bloggers to designers to celebrities to actresses.
Nordic Influence
So I’ve already mentioned that sweaters are huge this fall. But a particularly large trend in the sweater area is the Nordic style. Basically all of those huge, cozy knits with the geometric-ish designs typically in neutral colors (black, white, brown, etc.). These are absolutely perfect to stock up on, and can be found absolutely anywhere. I found some at a thrift store the other day, but...

The In-Between Season
I don’t know about other cities, but in LA, we are currently “in between seasons.” It’s too cold to be summer and too hot to be fall. So our closets are in crisis-mode because we didn’t plan for a transition phase. We just expected to go from hot to cold. But Isabel Marant’s Spring 2011 collection is perfect for this weather. Basically just tons of variations of...
Catching Stars
I don’t usually like posting pictures of current editorial images because they reappear hundreds of times throughout the Tumblr-sphere, and I hate to be repetitive. But I do think that this one deserves to be posted.
With so many beautiful faces in the fashion world, particularly the model world, there is a huge competition to keep your face known. I think that Frida Gustavson is doing a...
Plastic Heaven
To be quite honest, I’m not sure that I could think of a better collaboration. Moschino is one of the most original, creative designers out there right now, that really doesn’t get enough credit. And Kartell is just a perfect, modern-furniture brand. Together, only pure beauty can be expected. And its in the form of a ballet flat. The plastic used is 100% recyclable, non-toxic...
Heading For Winter
So I’ve started compiling my Winter shopping list. That’s basically just a way for me to say that I’ve started dreaming of what I would love to wear in my dream winter. But since LA doesn’t offer a real winter, I really only need to stock up on a few basics for the not-so-chilly months ahead. Hopefully, unlike years in the past, I might actually invest in a nice, warm coat...
Fair-Isle Sweaters
Start stocking up on these Fair-Isle inspired sweaters for winter. They appeared on a dozen runway shows as well as in regular mall stores too. I personally would LOVE to own the Proenza Schouler (second picture) sweater. They are cozy and stylish, something that is not always easy to do during the chilly days of winter when you just want to cuddle up with a warm cup of hot cocoa and fuzzy...

All in the Stars
I haven’t seen a brilliantly original and creative editorial in a while, unless its by the incredible Tim Walker. But in the most recent issue of Vogue UK, they did a horoscope style spread. It’s very whimsical and could almost be mistaken for the works of Tim Walker. And it’s quite clever too. This spread almost makes me want to start checking my horoscopes daily.
For the...
The Froth & Goth of Givenchy
Givenchy is one of my all-time favorite designer brands. Riccardo Tisci, who has been in charge for the past five years, has not failed to come up with brilliant designs each season. Unlike many brands, Givenchy has a design aesthetic that they never stray away from. However, they are still always evolving and looking for new ways for women to dress. Almost every Givenchy collection is...
The Turban is Back

I know I said a few posts ago that flats are the “It” shoe for Spring, but every season still has it’s heels. So, here are some of the best heels for spring. They’re all feminine and floral-y, so perfect for spring.
*Left to Right: D&G, Dolce & Gabbana, Christian Dior, Nicholas Kirkwood, Christian Louboutin, and Fendi
On My Radar
Just some things I would love to own.
*See by Chloe shoes, Proenza Schouler necklace, Jil Sander purses
Lauren Santo Domingo
You can’t get much classier, elegant, or stylish than her.
Walking Flat
The Spring runway shows had their fair share of heels, but the majority of collections featured the flattest of flats. Sandals with absolutely no heel with thick straps along the ankle and heel. Looks like the fashion world is seeking out some comfort, at least for one season.
*Alejandro Ingelmo, See by Chloe, Pierre Hardy, Tila March, Lanvin, Diane von Furstenberg
The Gowns of Gossip Girl
Gossip Girl is usually known for its fashion and style, and this week was no exception. Since the climax of the episode occurred at the ballet, all of the beautiful actors and actresses decked out in gowns and tuxes. For the girls, it was hard deciding which designer dress was my favorite. I ultimately fell for Juliette’s J.Mendel dress as opposed to Blair’s Ralph Lauren gown or...
When the Birds Come Out to Play
I love the haunted, enchanting-ness of this image. Most fashion images right now are either flashy, shiny, and glossy, or intentionally dark and vintage-style. But this one seems to have an authenticity that so many other images don’t have. It might be due to the fact that it is one of the best photographer-model collaboration (Peter Lindbergh and Sasha Pivovarova, respectively). But...
Dior Parfume
The Somerset House in London is housing an exhibition of the different advertisements from the vintage Christian Dior perfume line. This museum is hosting other fashion-related exhibits too and I wish that I could hop on a plane right now and go check them out.
Head Game
Headbands are one of my favorite trends. They are such a simple way to pull together a look or add a bit of personal style to an outfit. Winter headbands are so perfect because they are both functional and stylish. I opt for chunky knits in muted tones. These ones from Urban Outfitters (above) are two of my favorite for this upcoming season.
